Talk to anyone.
Sound like yourself.

Spēk turns your phone into a two-way translator that speaks in your cloned voice. Hold the button, talk, let go. They hear your words in their language. Then hand them the phone.

Hear yourself speak another language.

Read out loud for twenty seconds. Then hear your own voice speak a language you never learned.

How it works

One minute to set up. One button to talk.

1

Record your voice once

Read a short passage out loud, about a minute. Spēk learns how you sound. You can delete it any time.

2

Hold the button and talk

Speak naturally, in your own language. Let go when you're done. No language detection, no guessing.

3

They hear you in theirs

Your words, in their language, spoken in your voice. Not a robot. You. Then they hold their button and answer.

Features

Built for the moments where language gets in the way.

Quick Talk · Anyone

Hand your phone to a stranger. The screen splits: your half faces you, theirs faces them, right side up. You speak in your voice; they answer in theirs, with no setup on their side.

  • Pick their language, tap Start
  • Both halves show what was just said
  • Replay, share or save any line

Table Talk

Up to four people around one phone, each speaking their own language, each heard in their own voice. Perfect for a dinner where not everyone shares a language.

  • Seats for cloned voices, friends, or guests with just a language
  • Two seats is a split screen; three or four is a 2×2 table
  • Every other language at the table is spoken once, in order

Two phones, anywhere

Send a link. They record their voice once, and from then on either of you can start a conversation with one tap, each from your own phone, anywhere in the world.

  • Delivered and Heard receipts on every line
  • Notifications when someone is waiting for you
  • A permanent room for each pair of friends

Spēk Romance

Meet someone who doesn't speak your language, and hear them in yours, in their own voice. One ten-second voice line instead of a bio. One invite, one answer, and a red heart when it's yes. Then the conversation is the first date.

  • Every heart is voice-verified live. No uploads, no bots pretending
  • Flirt in your voice; send a rose, a coffee, a kiss
  • Opt in, 18+, hidden from your friends if you want. Off any time, nobody is told
✦ AIAI companions from the Spēk team keep you company while the map fills. Always labelled.

Translate a sign or menu

Point the camera at any text and tap once. Spēk reads every line, shows what it says in your language, and Nora, Spēk's own voice, reads it out loud. Any script: Japanese, Arabic, Armenian, Hindi. Copy it, share it, or keep it.

  • Menus, platforms, gate boards, warning signs, handwritten notes
  • Read aloud, so you can keep your eyes on the room
  • Switch the language for a friend, no new photo
Translate a sign: the app reads a Korean subway sign and shows it in English

Friends around the world

Turn on Discoverable and let people find you by the language they speak, the country they live in, or their name. See who's where on the map, and ask to be friends with a note.

  • Language, city and country are separate facts. A Portuguese speaker can live anywhere
  • Green ring for friends, yellow for people you haven't met yet
  • City-level only. Never an address

After the conversation

Learn the line you just heard

Every line in a conversation has a little graduation cap. Tap it and the chalkboard comes down: the line broken into phrases, each one meaning something, each one said in your own voice. Hold the button and say it back. Spēk listens, and the bar turns green.

  • Your voice is the teacher, so it never sounds like a stranger
  • Kind scoring: close enough counts, and tá is está
  • Ten lines said right and you're a Beginner. A thousand, and you're Fluent

For travelers

Built into Roteiro trip apps.

Roteiro has partnered with Spēk on a new translation system for travelers. Every Roteiro and Solo trip app carries a Spēk button: tap it at a counter in Rome and you're talking Italian in seconds, with the destination's language already set.

Privacy

Your voice is yours.

Consent before recording

Spēk asks, in your language, before a single second is recorded. Your voice is biometric data and we treat it that way.

Delete it any time

"Forget voice" removes the clone from our voice cloning partner and from your phone. No account to close, no ticket to file.

Discoverable is one switch

It's on when you join, so friends can find you. People see your name, photo, language, city and country. Nothing else, and never where you actually are unless you choose that. Flip it off in your profile and you're gone from the map and the directory.

Only what's needed

Your recording is sent to our voice cloning partner in the USA to build your model. It's used only to speak your own translated words. Never sold, never used to train other models.

The other side never pays. One paid person covers every conversation they are in: the waiter, the host family, the taxi driver. Spēk is two-sided, so the free tier is the whole point, not a trial.
